Award-winning contemporary company Dance Makers Collective, led by choreographer Miranda Wheen, invites a brilliant cast of artists - representing dance in all its forms - to take to the floor in this immersive experience.

About Dance Makers Collective (DMC)

Founded in 2012, Dance Makers Collective (DMC) is an award-winning national leader in dance. DMC is the largest collective-led dance company in Australia.  With a mission to build dance communities, DMC unites people by working with and between dance theatre, contemporary dance, and social dance.

Since 2012, DMC has produced no less than 83 dance works performed in theatres, halls, galleries, parks, on street corners, balconies, YouTube and Instagram.

DMC makes heartfelt dance that reflects the diverse, personal experiences of Australians. Each of their works use dance as a vehicle for community connection, bridging ‘ordinary people’s’ experiences of dance with professional practice, centring the audience in the experience.

With their works, DMC has travelled to regional communities across NSW, VIC, WA, SA and QLD, leaving lasting impact in each place. Every show DMC presents is recreated with local people through thoughtful exchange and collaboration, responding to the aspirations of the communities DMC works with.

About Jannawi Dance Clan

Jannawi Dance Clan is a highly regarded First Nations intergenerational dance collective based in Western Sydney. Founded in 2008 by Artistic Director Peta Strachan, Jannawi – meaning 'with me, with you' in the Dharug language – is committed to revitalising Indigenous storytelling and embodied language through dance. The Dance clan members come from diverse Aboriginal and/or Torre Strait Islander communities from around the county and consists of world class professionally trained multi skilled performing artists.

Jannawi maintains a rich body of work and has performance at the 16th Annual Coastal Dance Festival in Canada, the 22nd Biennale of Sydney, DanceRites at the Sydney Opera House and the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. They also regularly participate in significant ceremonies such as the Yabun Festival and Wagan-ma-gule at Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden along with national and international performances at The Blues Festival, Byron Bay, the Boomerang project at the Glasgow Games Scotland, Isle of Lewis, Womad festival New Zealand, and at the Rainbow Serpent Festival.

About Feel Free Dance

Founded in Bondi Beach, Feel Free Dance offers Latin dance classes, social events, performances and cultural experiences that welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels. More than teaching dance, the organisation creates safe and inclusive spaces where people build confidence, form lasting friendships and develop a genuine sense of belonging.

Driven by the belief that dance is a powerful tool for wellbeing, Feel Free Dance promotes physical activity, mental wellness, cultural diversity and community engagement through salsa, bachata, tango and other Latin dance styles.

Led by Francisco Chumacero (Paco) and his professional dance partner, he will be joined by other professional dance couples to help create this exciting show. 

About School of Arts Academy of Dance

School of Arts Academy of Dance is a community-based dance school and the longest established dance school in Bondi. For over 30 years the school has offered RAD ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary for all ages students.

School of Arts Academy of Dance’s teaching philosophy focuses on individual attention, discipline, creating a sense of achievement and self-esteem in each child while instilling a love of dance. It is a place were friendships and having a sense of community are strengthened through the common interest of dance.

8 young dancers from ages 12-16 will be joining the professional dancers of Dance Makers Collective to contribute to All In, giving the students the opportunity to perform in a professional environment with an audience.
