Waverley Council’s Local Creative Collaborations program supports artists to connect to develop and showcase new work at Bondi Pavilion through artist residencies in the Yalagang Room, Artist Studio and Music Studios.

Designed to support artists at every stage of their practice – from emerging to established – this program facilitates artists to connect with each other and the local community.

Expressions of interest for 2026 closed in February. The next round will open in late 2026 for 2027 opportunities - sign up to the Local Creative Collaborations newsletter to be the first to know.

Work in Progress: A Blue Evening by iF_Co | Sat 29 Aug, 5pm | Yalagang Room

iF_Co's new work, The Great Meditation of Popamono contemplates the growth of the individual and human consciousness through the relational dynamics of friendship, belonging and inter-being. A Blue Evening is an extract of this work, and is a non-verbal work-in-progress performance, accessible to diverse audiences

Inspired by Edward Hopper’s painting Soir Bleu, A Blue Evening examines the central character of a clown as it shifts from the state of feeling burdened and overwhelmed by the systemic responsibility of being “clown”, to being happily empowered as a designer of its own destiny and sovereign agent of change.

In a world saturated with information, updates and crises, Isaac Forsyth and Camille Ostrowsky (iF_Co) wish to provide a quiet pause that isn’t a distraction, but a meditation.
