Waverley Council’s Local Creative Collaborations program supports artists to connect to develop and showcase new work at Bondi Pavilion through artist residencies in the  Yalagang Room, Artist Studio and Music Studios.

Designed to support artists at every stage of their practice – from emerging to established – this program facilitates artists to connect with each other and the local community.

Expressions of interest for 2026 closed in February. The next round will open in late 2026 for 2027 opportunities - sign up to the Local Creative Collaborations newsletter to be the first to know.

Open Studio: Vanessa Franklin | Saturday 11 July, 11am – 2pm  | Artist Studio, Bondi Pavilion | Free

Local artist in residence Vanessa Franklin is opening the Artist Studio during Bondi Festival's Pavilion Paw Parade on Saturday 11 July.

During her residency, Vanessa is developing a new body of work inspired by Bondi's everyday rituals, characters and coastal culture, including a growing collection celebrating some of Bondi's most adored local dogs.

Drop by the Artist Studio (next to Bondi Pavilion Art Gallery) to see works in progress, meet the artist, and maybe spot a familiar four-legged local taking shape on the canvas.
