Thread your way through Bondi's fashionable past with Margot Riley, curator and cultural historian from the State Library of NSW. Join us for a refreshing exploration of Bondi's beachside history, where the water wasn't the only things making waves!!

Learn about Bondi's place in the evolution of Australian swimwear and the role played by the beach as a hot spot for sartorial promenade.

Growing up in the eastern suburbs, Margot Riley has worked in Sydney's cultural sector for decades. With special interests in art, popular culture, photography and dress, she has written and lectured extensively and curated numerous exhibitions and displays. Join us for an afternoon of stories and style as Margot shares her tale of fashionable fun in the sun on Australia’s favourite beachside runway.
