Revamped. Revitalised. Refreshed. Bondi comes alive at the Pav on its reopening night.

This is a free event for everyone, registration is essential.

Join us in a spirit-lifting, creativity-raising free experience for all. The Pav is back and we’re celebrating with a grand event where the creative and the curious will come together. Where community will take centre stage. Explore live music, live performance, visual art, exhibitions, and installations, First Nations talks and workshops, tours and film screenings.  Experience the Pavilion wide awake after two years of hibernation in a free evening of celebrations to kick off three weeks of re-opening festivities.

From 6pm explore new and revitalised spaces at the Pav that showcase arts and culture activities for all ages. Check out the program:

  • Move to the beat with more than 20 local musicians performing at the Pav on the night. The courtyard stage comes alive with the bold, brassy riffs and driving percussion of 14-piece Latin Big Band Mucho Mambo followed by local rising star Krystal Rivvers. Bondi WAVE Alumni bands Lili Alaska featuring Lindy Morrison and Mess will jam in the Music Studios whilst the Bondi Glee Club will have you singing along to their favourite pop songs.
  • Preview the Waverley Art Prize finalists in the Art Gallery.
  • Explore the Bondi Story Room’s immersive digital exhibition at your own pace.
  • Get personal insight into Bondi’s famous beach culture with stories from Bondi legends Pauline Menzcer and Harry Nightingale in the Yalagang Room.
  • Get creative with an Indigenous shelling workshop in the High Tide Room, led by Aunty Lola and the Gujaga Foundation.
  • Enjoy a pop-up exhibition in the Ocean Room charting the restoration of the Pavilion.
  • Get your taste buds buzzing with gastronomic delights from the food trucks on the forecourt and gelato in the courtyard.
  • Spin the wheel and create a mini masterpiece in the Pottery Studio.
  • Take in historical footage of Bondi Beach featuring gems from the National Film and Sound Archive screening in the Theatre.

This is a free event, all are welcome.
To help us ensure everyone’s comfort, registration is essential.
