A photogrpah of artist Rox De Luca, Rox has dark short hair, she sits on the floor in a field of red sculptures. The sculptures appear like a jewlery with long lines of red plastic clustered together. Behind rox is a drape of blue plastic which is another of her artworks. hoto credit: Alex McClintock

Sydney based artist and eco-warrior Rox De Luca is renowned for her intricate creations with surprising origins. Her artwork transforms single-use plastics, which she gathers from Sydney beaches, into large scale, bright sculptures. Rox's creations are seductive and beautiful, drawing in audiences who are quickly positioned to consider the overwhelming scale of plastic waste around the world. Rox is currently exhibiting in the Bondi Pavilion Gallery as a part of the exhibition ‘Beauty Runs the Gauntlet’. Join her for an intimate artist talk to discuss her process, philosophy and how we can combat plastic waste in our everyday lives.
