One of Sydney's most loved festivals and the largest kite flying Festival in Australia is back at Bondi this spring, promising to be a great day out for everyone.

The Australian Kiteflyers Society (AKFS) will be be bringing their spectacular kite shows to Bondi once again, featuring large-scale, hand-made dazzling kites from Australia's top professoinal kite makers and flyers.

There will be music and entertainment on the main stage, a smorgasbord of food from around the world, kids rides and activities including kite making, craft workshops, circus skills, clay making and more! Local performance and dance groups will feature on our forecourt stage as kites of all shapes and sizes will  feature in the skies! There will be art exhibitions, short films, lawn games, DJs and talented roaming performances throughout the day.

You can buy a kite, make a kite and fly a kite in our special family friendly flying zones. Or just sit back and enjoy the glorious coastal scenes with friends and family.

We can’t wait to see at this year's Festival of the Winds.

More information on all activities across the day can be found here.
