Now a familiar face in living rooms across the country, Georgie Tunny has spent more than a decade climbing the ranks in newsrooms reporting on devastating stories such as the 2019 bushfire emergency and the Covid pandemic. Now, in her gripping debut Over to You she rips back the glossy curtain on television news, taking the ambitious competitiveness of The Devil Wears Prada, mixing it with the complex female friendships of Big Little Lies and throwing in the high-stakes drama of The Morning Show

Join Georgie in conversation with fellow journalist, and Two Good Sports podcast co-pilot, Abbey Gelmi as they lift the lid on the juicy stories and intriguing personalities behind this highly compelling new novel.

Georgie Tunny started her journalism career with the ABC, as part of the News Breakfast presenting team for four years. She took on roles as sport presenter, weather presenter and as co-host during the 2020 bushfire emergency coverage and throughout the Covid pandemic. In 2022 Georgie joined Network 10 as a journalist and presenter for The Project and now anchors the weekend news bulletin. In addition, she hosts a weekly sport podcast with Abbey Gelmi, Two Good Sports, and a Taylor Swift-inspired podcast, Ready For It. Georgie and her partner, Rob Mills, were runners-up in The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition

Abbey Gelmi is a television presenter and journalist. She spent 11 years at the Seven Network where she was their go to sports reporter, and host of Seven News weekend sports coverage. As the host of the ABC’s Offsiders, Abbey now talks all things sport every Sunday morning with experts in their field. She is a regular fixture on Network Ten’s The Cheap Seats and hosts the weekly sports podcast Two Good Sports (iHeartRadio), alongside her best mate Georgie Tunny. Each week the two catch up on all the news and events across the sporting world. Two Good Sports was nominated for multiple awards at the 2024 Australian Podcast Awards.

“Instantly engrossing. Unputdownable. One of the best, most salacious insights into the television world I've ever read, as well as a forensic look at the complicated dynamics of female friendship. Tunny is simply a masterful fiction writer.”

Jessie Stephens, author of Something Bad is Going to Happen
