Waverley Council’s Local Creative Collaborations program supports artists to connect to develop and showcase new work at Bondi Pavilion through artist residencies in the  Yalagang Room, Artist Studio and Music Studios.

Designed to support artists at every stage of their practice – from emerging to established – this program facilitates artists to connect with each other and the local community.

Expressions of interest for 2026 closed in February. The next round will open in late 2026 for 2027 opportunities - sign up to the Local Creative Collaborations newsletter to be the first to know.

Artist in Residence Paula Broom is collecting memories and photographs of places that people love across Waverley for her participatory artwork Locales I Love.

Drop in for a chat and share your memories on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, from 11am to 3pm, at the Bondi Pavilion Artist Studio next to the Art Gallery (enter via the courtyard).

You can write a short memory or share a photograph of a place that is special to you.

Can't make it in person? Email a photo of a place you love in Waverley to thefirstoriginalmiss@gmail.com by 14 June.

Selected photographs and memories may become part of the artwork through stitching and photographic transfer.
