Mick Fanning is a three-time surfing world champion. But he’s also a true survivor who fought off a great white shark on live TV and battled to overcome heart-shattering grief following the tragic deaths of his three brothers.

A remarkable life now captured in Mick’s deeply personal memoir, which will captivate surf fans as well as readers who’ve never paddled out. Written with raw honesty and a breakneck tempo, All Heart hits with the force of a 50-foot wave.

Join Mick in conversation as he reflects on his journey from the Western suburbs of Sydney to world surfing fame. The wins, the setbacks and the growth in between.

Mick Fanning was born in Penrith and raised on the Gold Coast, he captured world titles in 2007, 2009 and 2013, earning a reputation for precision, speed and an ability to stay composed when the stakes were highest. His life has been shaped by experiences far beyond competition. Moments which profoundly shifted his perspective, strengthening his resilience and gratitude. Now an inductee of the Australian Sporting Hall of Fame, Fanning is also a father, husband and entrepreneur whose influence extends well beyond surfing, defined as much by character and humility as by championship success.

“I realised there’s value in being honest about the moments that shaped me – the wins, the setbacks and the growth in between. I had to be willing to explore some of the darker chapters to understand them properly, and that process has been part of the healing. If sharing that journey helps someone else find strength or perspective in their own life, then it’s been worth telling.”
